I know some of you are sick and tired of hearing about the amount of stitches we put on a machine.. I have put a 1/2 million on this 780D Brother since it was serviced.. kept the bobbin case cleaned out, changed needles frequently, and it is starting to act up already?

Did I just get a lemon here? My cousin has a machine almost like it and sews millions of stitches with no problems.....
Any suggestions?

There is another question right now that asks how many stitches should you put on your machine between servicing. I was going to say 1/2 million stitches, but I think I have put that many on this little brother since I started this 4 months ago. I am not ready for it to "start acting up".

How in the world do you know how many stitches you have put on the machine? Is there a gauge on the Brother machines?

I'm also never seen that mysterious stitchcounter :o) Had my Janome last month in service for the first time (my xmas-present 2007!) and now it works better. Paid 83,-€ (113,-$) for cleaning and bring it back in the old shape...

I would be glad to put oil in it but I don't know how. There is only on screw in the back of it but I don't see where that piece comes apart. It seems to be molded in the front. It is a 780D Brother. If you have one of these and oil it - please post how.
