My name is Bonita. I am from Las Vegas, NV and would like to get to know other Cutie members from Las Vegas, also any other cutie members. I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. My embroidery machines are Janome MC8000 and the MC10001. I have been a member for awhile now but now that I am laid off I have a bit more time to spend here. So I am trying to get more familiar with the site.

My daughter graduated from UNCG (University of North Carolina Greensboro)so I know the area, There is another cutie in High Point. My brother is in Denver so I have got fairly close to your area. Do you live close to the Red Rock area?

Been a sewer since 9 yrs old, made my first quilt top when I was 12...picked it back up for good in the 70's, now my next adventure started in Jan. when I started a Hoopsisters class at a nearby quilt shop. Have been hooked on collecting freebies for over a month. Love seeing the little freebies coming to life on the fabric. It gives quilting a whole new life and boy am I enjoying trying out new things for quilts and quilting projects. I am a member of the embroidery club at a close by quilt shop and I have learned so much from them and cuties. I rely on cuties and this group to answer my questions. 462503Hi, Deb here, I live in Canton Ohio, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I have 2 sons, 33 and 30, the youngest is getting married on 10/10/10 after 10 years with his fiance. The older one is divorced. Have 2 cats I am allergic to but won't part with. Had cancer last Fall, had surgery and chemo and am now growing hair so life is nice. Hubby bought me my Brother SE-350 for Christmas and I am having a ball! He retired in Nov. so we are trying to enjoy life!

Thanks, I had the surgery before I got my machine but it has gotten me through the chemo, when I couldn't do anything else I could sit at the machine and change threads.

My name is Meri, I turned 56 on June 1, I live in the central part of NY state between Syracuse, Ithaca, and Auburn. Anyone in the vacinity shout out please! I am the Mother of four grown sons and Grandma of two grandsons, Aydin 4, and Jake 1. I have the Singer Futura ce-100 and added the update which has given me a lot more choices in doing projects. I've been quilting over 16 years now and my wonderful bf, Maurice bought the embroidery machine for me and had it all set up in place of my old sewing machine when I got home from work one day! He is retired Air Force and my biggest supporter. We've been together 4 years and it's just great! I've only been doing embroidery about a year and a half. I had the machine almost a year before overcoming my fear of embroidery and I've been hooked ever since. We have a non-embroidery website which helps suppliment his retirement and helps pay the bills.
I love all the cuties! I've gotten more advice and helpful criticisms (which I ask for) from the wonderful cutie family. You folks are the greatest!

Hi Ruthie, I'm from Plattsburgh but moved a year ago to be closer to the grands. Wish I'd known about you when I was there! Now we're about an hour south west of Syracuse. There is a quilting guild in Plattsburgh but I never found anyone else who enjoyed embroidery up there.! Most of my siblings are in Peru and one in Morrisonville- you gotta be close to some of them!

I have only had it a month or so, but I love it. Don't have anything to compare it to. I did a lot of research before purchasing it and thought it had much to offer for the price. It reads many file types, not just the singer XXX files.

I have a Singer Futura CE200. I've had it about 5 yrs, but only really started getting into embroidery as part of an addiction about 3 yrs ago! i really like my machine. I bought the Auto-Punch software so I could use the fonts on my computer - best thing I ever did! The only thing I want to do now is buy the software so I can copy/paste designs so I can have everything on one screen instead of flipping screens trying to make sure everything is lined up properly.

Sorry, I should explain. I have a post in personal that I looked up for you but the pictures are not working there now. Acro is short for acrobatic gymnastics. They work in pairs or trios, sometimes more. My older daughter was in a pair. Unfortunately her pair just broke up but she will continue training and be in a new pair or trio next year. My younger daughter is in a trio. They compete doing balance, strength, and tumbling routines to music. First link is to pictures of the sport. 2nd link is my post in personals.

My birthday is may 23 and i'll be 48. I embroider with a old 5700 janome and i use the old customizer 2000. I love to design and sew. I have 1 dog, 2 inside cats , 1 inside outside cat and 3 outside cats. Yes i'm the crazy cat lady..lol

I purchased PE Design V5 when it came out years ago and as much as I hate to admit it, I am only now playing with it and actually TRYING to learn it by trial and error (...and not so succesfully I might add, LOL). Hopefully someday I may get to a point where I'll be able to share some digitized designs with the cuties here. ~R

Thank you Shirlener88, but I think I just need to play around with it...and most importantly...NOT let myself GET SO FRUSTRATED! Hmmm Sewmom...I might have to pick your brain once in awhile...the manual is not my best method of learning...and see, my learning is so fundamental that I hadn't even thought about combining designs on PE Design...I've just used either my machine or my Smart Sizer Gold program, LOL. ~Rita

I am also completely STUPID when it comes to sending anything online....for two years have been trying to send pictures of my 2 little poodles to relatives in Ireland....gave up and sent them via the P.O.
