Betty does some beautiful Mylar designs. I wish there were more digitizers doing them. I hope to in the future. But for now all my time is spent processing mylar orders. Can someone tell me how to post a weblink on here please, thanks sharon

Thanks for carrying the mylar. I got my opal from you and now I think I want to try the color sampler. As for digitizers: SewAZ, Creative connections, bettysoriginalembroideries, Rose Cottage on Oregonpatchworks, and Holly at ATW will putting out a set of angels soon (July I think).

This site has mylar designs and there are very few that do. I hope it will become a more popular design style.

Mylar is a kind of metallic look material. You do something like applique the result is a shiny designs without the problems of metallic thread.

Mylar is that iridescent plastic "tissue" paper that is used in gift bags. Easy to come by in the shredded kind, a little harder in the sheets. A mylar design is like an applique design, you do the first color then place the mylar then run the next color then trim excess ylar away and then continue on with the design. I have a few of these designs and they are very pretty if you check the link I gave, you will learn more about it.
