the lowest of lows & the highest of highs. There have been words of comfort & words of praise. To me the word family means so muchl When I grew up fmly meant more than just "blood kin" it meant those who surrounded u with love & helped when u were down. The ones who were always there for u even when"blood kin" wasn't. In the deep south u often grow up thinking u have twice as many cousins as u really have. "Kissincousins" they are called. Jerrilyn I love it. I'll never gorget once at about 8 yrs old. granpa had just plowed a field, it smelled wonderful to me. Me in my little white pinafore made from bleached out sacks layed down in that plowed up dirt & pretended to b swimming I'll never forget that scrubbing or dubbing. Funny now, but I still love the smell of fresh turned earth in the spring. LOL

I love the story about "swimming" in the dirt. Nothing smells so vibrant to me. Makes me think of my grandmother putting me in the tub on Saturday night (I always spent the night with gparents on Saturday) and she would use a brush on my knees and elbows. OUCH!
