Dear cutes,i was just reading the personals n soo many of us have loved once in pain.my mom had an operation on her spine yesterdy,she lives in New Zealand,n me in Mozambique ,Africa soo far off,
all i could do was call my father every
time to ask how she was doing. with GODS
GRACE every thing went well,we r now
praying for her speedy recovery.
These are the times i wish I wish we all
[my kids n my parents] were staying in the
the same city , not half way across the
world.

We only see our daughter, grandson and son-in-law twice a year Our grandson has grown up so fast and we have missed a lot of it. But thankful for the times we do spend together. 51331 Tanuja, I understand your feelings about being seperated from you family - in this sort of time - it is very hard - I lived across the country and was unable to be with my Daddy when he was very ill and missed his funeral, too. Times like these are difficult - but I too - did like you and called many times - spoke with whomever I could - when I couldn't speak to my Daddy - he was good with talking with me at least once a week - until the last couple days of his life - so I still feel like I had some wonderful times with him, even then. I did moved to assist my Mother with her illness and have been very happy that I have been here for her, too. But there are still times - when life keeps us apart. The best thing to do is love them when and however you can - allow them the knowledge of your love and concern - we wil pray for each of you - for a speedy recovery and pleasant future memories. *4U

89874 I am sad for you. I know how hard it is. My dad is in Germany and I am in the USA. He is 90 years old and has bone cancer. We talk every 2 weeks. I am so glad for the internet because I still remember the times you had to make an appointment with the long distance operator and the call quality was horrid. Afterwards you could empty the savings account to pay for the call. I pray for your Moms speedy recovery. Hugs Angie

22363 Hi so good to see another one of Cuties somewhere in Africa, I am staying in South Africa, and used to go once in a while to Mozambique with my family. Living in Witbank, Mpumalanga this is not so far, but I know whst you are talking about, because my son and his wife is in Sidney Australia, hear a lot of them but can never be near when they needed us. 11225 Tanuja, I married a Saudi in '63 and have lived in Saudi Arabia since then, I was fortunate to travel home at least once every two years but it can never make up for 'being there'. We manage to miss those happy moments, but the hard times is when we can't 'be there' for them in their times of need. I can't really console you because I've been in the same place but we can only pray for good news to come by phone!! Blessings to you and yours.

i visit them every year ,i was with her for a month in feb,but like u said ,it is the hard times, thatis ,when u want to be there and cant . but thks to phone and skype atlest u can talk and see them now a days. thks .
