looking for without having to scroll through all the pages?

36489 Grace, there's no way except scrolling
thru all the pages, unfortunately.
The computer: were you 'moving'
the designs, or just 'renaming'
them in the folder they were in? With
computers, I think it's best to do one
operation at a time, so they don't get
confused. When I download designs by
cuties, I keep the design number, but add
at the end of the file name what it is,
before the .jef or whatever format. Like
"designsbycuties12345 moonstar
A.jef". I download right into the
folder the designs will live in, so they
don't have to be moved around. And if
you do want to put something in another
folder, "copy" it to the folder,
make sure it's there and opens, then
delete the other file. It may be time
consuming, but when you "move" it
could get accidentally into another folder,
etc. And always check when you copy,
because the only thing between you and
oblivion is the clipboard of the computer!
Hope this helps, good luck finding your
designs!! Hugs, Marji

I was simply re-naming them as I always
download to the required folder, but I
think I must have got carried away and
clicked something which moved the files.
Sadly I have not got a record of the file
numbers to do a "search" with.
From now on I'll follow your advice
and add a descripton of the design before I
download.
I managed to find what I was looking for on
page 34. It did make me take another look
at what was available to me though!
Thanks for your reply.

So sorry, Grace! Isn't it amazing how easily we can mess these computers up with just an extra click? Glad you found what you were looking for. Someday you're going to open a folder of Exel documents or photographs, and there will be your embroidery design! Hee hee hee. At least you found some new stuff in Designs by Cuties, though, that's a plus. Hugs, Marji

To proof your point, Marji, yesterday I found an embroidery design I 'lost' in a document file that had absolutely nothing to do with embroidery. And I know it did not get there on its own...

Yes, maybe one day I'll get to grips with it all meanwhile it's reassuring to know there are people like her out there ready to help.
59011 I don't know what type of computer you have but if you have Microsoft, go to 'Start" on the screen to the right at the bottom you will see run, search, help support. Click on "search" and put in whatever words are common to your designs. It will tell you where you have stored them. That way you can find out what your missing. Hope this helps. :-)

Thank you, I did try but without the file details it was a dead loss I'm afraid. I'm treating it as yet another learning curve!

As and when you do I'd be grateful if you decided to share your knowledge as I'm not organised enough yet!
