Hi, Cuties! For those of you who want to know where we all are, I have set up a map called World Cuties at Platial.com. The link and directions to add yourself are inside. It's not too hard. >>>
This is a moderated map, which means that I have to approve your addition before it takes effect. I'm doing that just so we don't get all kinds of strange people adding themselves to the map. What I need for you to do is identify yourself as a Cutie somehow, because I don't know all your screen names, and some of you are choosing to use something other than your screen name here at Cute. It would probably be easiest for all the Cuties if we used our Cute Embroidery screen names, or an abbreviation of them. If you use your real name, we could end up with 20 "Judy's", and no one will know which one we mean. You'll see from the directions how you can add a lot of information. This will be fun, hope everyone can participate! If you have any problems, just send me a PM, and I'll try to help as best I can. But the map is so tiny, and whole germany
is covered by a skull ! symbol for the SS,
that is no good choice I think.
Or am I too sensible with this?
Is there a possibilitiy to zoom, when more

11683 Ok, here are the directions and the
link.
1. Go to the link, the map is called World
Cuties
2. The first photo is the map, click on
the "Add a Marker" icon, and
you'll get the screen shown. In order
to get your marker in the correct place,
the best idea is to put an identifier you
want, like "my house", or even
better, your Cute screen name, because then
your screen name will show up in the bubble
when you put your mouse over the marker on
the map. That would be easiest for all of
us, but do what you think is best for you.
Then put in your address in the address
slot. You can use your street number if you
want, it will place you exactly on the map.
If you don't want it that exact, at
least put your City, State (province,
whatever) and Country. That will most
likely put your marker at your post office
in your town. Close enough. It's
best NOT to click the marker onto the map
yourself, it sometimes jumps to the wrong
place! That's why I
"x'ed" that part out on the
photo. Then hit the "next"
button to continue to the next screen.
Photo 2 is the next screen, where you can
pick an icon to represent you. Pick any
one you like, then go down and hit
"next" again to go on to the
third screen.
Photo 3 is the third screen, where you can
change the icon if you picked one you
don't like, you can add your website
if you have one, give a description of your
city, your house, your sewing machine,
whatever you want. You can also add tags,
it might be a good idea to add your Cute
screen name as a tag. That way if one of
us wants to find where you live, we can
search by your screen name tag & find
you. If you want to be found, that is, hee
hee hee.
When you finish all the screens, hit
'finish' or 'next' or
whatever that last button is, and your
marker will be submitted. You won't
see it right away, so don't do it
again!! This is a moderated map, so
I'll get an e-mail with your marker
request, then I'll approve it and it
will show up. I may not do it right away,
so do please have patience. That's
why I need you to identify yourself somehow
as a member of Cute. If I can't
identify someone, I will deny the request.
Trying to make sure this map is ONLY for
Cuties to keep us all safe and not get any
'advertising' on the map.
Once your marker is on the map, if you have
made a mistake, YOU are the only one who
can fix it. Once I have approved it, I
can't do anything with it. You can go
to your information, and there is an icon
where you can delete the whole thing and
start over. There's no way to
'edit' anything, you have to
delete it and do it again correctly if you
made a mistake.
I sure hope I covered all the bases here
& y'all have fun with this! There
is a place on Platial for 'help',
it's down at the bottom of the screen.
There's a section of FAQ's
there, pretty easy to go thru if
you're having trouble. If all else
fails, ask me in a PM. I suspect if you
have to do that, we're all in trouble,
because I've told you all I know here
in this post! Hee hee hee, we'll work
it out somehow.

Oh,duh, just to clarify something: when I said the part about "no advertising" on the map, I did NOT mean Cuties who have digitizing or other businesses and websites. That's wonderful, I encourage you to put that information in! I just don't want 'outsiders' who are selling stuff and not contributers to the community or projects or designs to be cluttering up our map. I hope you don't mind this decision, but I felt there's enough places for strangers to advertise to us without putting them on the map. Hugs, Marji

Migs, you added yourself on 2nd Avenue in New York City! Didn't think that was right, so I denied it. Can you try again? For the place name, put "migs". For the address, put your street address, city, state or province, and COUNTRY. All that info has to go in the address line, or you will end up in the ocean somewhere, hee hee hee. Well, I don't know, Mel. Since I had to make an account to make the map, and it recognizes me, I can't check. Perhaps one of the other Cuties who signed up can tell you. You got the map when you clicked the link, right? When you clicked on Add a Marker, what happened? Did it prompt you to make an account?
