requires the software does not retain or save the notes you add to make seaching for designs quicker and easier, so I am asking you if you save the designs in VIP or VP3 so it saves the notes and convert the design to the format of jef when you go to embroider it later. Or do you know of another way? If you have several thousand designs and no notes to use when you are using the search options it would make it hard and time consuming to locate files. As I already have this software I don't wish to spend more big $'s on new programs
1297 Well, this is a guess. I have the Janome 300E, and the Janome Digitizer Pro software. But if you have the 3D already, why not just save them as VIP that saves the notes, and convert the design when you want to use it? In Digitizer Pro, I have to open the design to save it to the flash card anyway, so I never bother converting any other file extensions till I want to use them. Digitizer Pro automatically converts to jef to save to the flash card. I think searching is your more important function, because if you're like the rest of us, you'll never use even half those designs anyway, hee hee hee. Good luck! Hugs, Marji

Thanks - I had thought the same thing, I wanted to make sure there was no otherway I hadn't thought of. I must admit though that I was very surprised when I realised that the program was not capable of searching under any format except VIP or VP3 and had not noticed prior as I had the designer 1 before the janome.
