This time it is a kind of embroidery kit
from my “projects-I-have-in-mind”
workshop.
First of all you will have to have a look
at this website I discovered lately.
It is a site which offers vintage
children’s books as e-books.
But you do not have to purchase them. You
are allowed to look at each site, read the
nursery rhymes and see the wonderful
pictures.
As far as I understood they are copyright
free- so this might be an interesting
source for our digitisers too.
This is the poem I would like to offer.

Please now have a look at the pansies
designs here:

This is just an example, there are many
more to choose from.
And have a look here

Maybe you were a happy collector while it
was free?? ( like lucky me- just missed the
D, so I am happy not to offer a poem about
daisies or even worse daffodils ;-)).
I created a simple file in PES format for
large hoop with the text of the poem and
chose a filled stitched font (called
Digiscript) similar to the Pansies Alpha.
The Pansies font is large, so my idea of
combining the designs you can see at the
snapshots.
Just play with the words as you like.
I thought of Pansy Upper-case letters at
the beginning of each line. (PS: don't
expect too much, maybe it is for goofy
corner. I did this today, not test
stitched, maybe a colum stitch and the
Enviro font would have been better.....
well, it wouldn't be me if there was
nothing to complain about it..... sigh.)
When stitched out, you can combine the
embroidered blocks with 3D-Pansies made
from FSL (I am sure Shirlene will have some
tips and links? ;-)) Or just do a whole
quilt like this.

(easy as pie of course.)
Or you add some crocheted ones http://planetmf

Or take this freebie http://www.stitchersbrewemb.c

Have fun, spring is just around the
corner.
And thanks again for your generosity.

I just love this vintage style drawings.
I learned, that the english childrens
poetry is more peaceful, just fun and near
to the childs lifeworld.
The german ones are very enducational and
frightening (thumbs are cut off or boys got
shreddered in a mill)- I just love this
english nursery rhymes- ok, Humpty Dumpty
has to suffer too, but he is just an egg or
what??. I can stand this. ;-)
And there are many cats !! to meet. I am so
excited from this site, I just had to post
it.
