All three members guilty of the recent attempt to openly share CuteEmbroidery designs on Facebook have now been banned from this site, CuteEmbroidery.com, by Miss Veronika.....
It is indeed a very sad day, but it is even
sadder that people should think it
necessary to steal free designs.
I truly hope that this will be the only
such incident here at Cute and I encourage
ALL Cuties to help educate new members that
the sharing of designs is illegal unless
you are the original digitiser of the
designs.
We should all consider ourselves estremely
fortunate to be a part of this group, Miss
Veronika does so much for all of us, she
never fails to try and provide features
here that we can all enjoy and every day
she gives away thousands of dollars worth
of designs as Gifts for all of us to enjoy.
And her gift designs are always high
quality work, full alphabets, beautiful
lace, linework and applique.
She provides a place for us to showcase our
projects and then she allows Cuties, who
digitise, to upload their designs to share
with everyone.
This generosity deserves far more thanks
than we all give and certainly does not
deserve to have people stealing from
her.
I do hope you all agree with what I have
written, if you don't then you are not
true Cuties.
Thank you Miss Veronika, for everything you
do for us, for your generosity and your
beautiful heart. I, for one, appreciate you
and will never stand for anyone abusing
your generosity.

alert button twice a week, feeling a little
bit like "copyright-cop"- but I
gave up.
Today I don't think we could ever
contain this problem. It is so easy to come
back even when banned.

with your nasty "business".
And as long as paying for something you can
get for free is considered
stupid/silly/foolish nothing will
change.

You are very observant Eva, I have also noticed the questionable amount of "newbies" popping up during certain "moments" at Cute to air their opinions and to disappear just as soon as the moment blows over, Amazing!

I don't believe the one that made the comment to one of the letter was not a newbie. I had checked the profile page and she had been around for several years and should have known.

Miss Veronika, you are dearly loved by all
your Cuties and we are so very sorry that
this has happened to you.
It is us who give our thanks to you and
while ever I am able, I will always be on
watch to try and prevent this from
happening again.
It must be very hurtful to you to have to
ban anyone from visiting your wonderful

happening made me very sad. I hope this
doesn't happen ever again.
I should add that we have to constantly
educate the new members that missed design
can be earned by voting or buying. $1.00 is
like giving away such quality designs like
we have on Cute. I often see people asking
to email them the missed design, we have to
warn them that this is not correct, plus
they are "joking" with the time
and hard work of someone else. I have
experienced this myself, since I started
the ladybug alpha, I got more than 20
emails asking to send the missed letters
and one of them sent me a very nasty reply
when I said it could be purchased. Why they
want to make you feel you are the bad one?
That was the day I was not feeling well, it
really made me sick. And I don't know
what is behind this, maybe people sharing
my designs? I dont want anyone to miss any
letter, should I leave the design for more
days, so I make sure everyone gets that?
That is why I understand Veronika's
feelings, you create with love, to your
family to have, and you see this horrible
theft in front of your eyes. I'm so
sorry, I needed to vent too.

Yoriko, I am so sorry you get nasty remarks while you are so generous with your freebies! Of course, there are days a miss a letter, but why would you alter your way of giving freebies? If you did a new one twice a week, people would be annoyed at the pace. Just ignore those rude comments, we love you for your kind generosity!!

seems the more you give them the more they
want, they are like the greedy little kid
who wants everything for nothing but I bet
if it was them who did the digitising they
wouldn't want to give their designs
away as gifts.

2739 I love to read what all the cuties are saying. Cute Embroidery has become my favorite site and it saddens me to think some people try to take advantage of the kindness of others. I think it is interesting that Facebook is being partially blamed for the action of these unscrupulous people. These people knew their actions were wrong. Facebook is not to blame for the actions of these people. It would be like blaming email if they had sent a design as an attachment. Facebook is a great way for people to stay in touch with large families and friends. It can also be used poorly. It really comes down to what kind of person you are. I am a 63 years-old grandmother and I use Facebook all the time. This is one of the ways that the younger gererations communicate. It is really fun to see what the kids and gk are up to and see what their friends write to them. It is very different than when they are in your livingroom trying to be on their best behavior. (but not in a bad way, thank you.)

Thank you for your vigilance and ensuing actions Meganne. It passes all understanding how someone could stoop so low as to steal from such a generous and beautiful person as Veronika. Thank you too, for the unenviable task undertaken in the banning of these ungrateful "thieves" Miss Veronika. The Cute family bands together in such times and I'm sure we all approve and applaud the actions of such valued family members. I don't normally wax lyrical in the posts, but could not let this pass by without comment and my profound thanks to you both.

a sad day when anyone has to be
'banned' from Cute Embroidery.
Veronika is not like some site and group
owners, with pages and pages of rules. The
only rules here are kind of Biblical: Thou
shalt not steal, and do unto others as you
would have them do unto you (in other
words, don't be nasty). This is so
deeply disappointing it has made me
physically ill, that such generosity as
Veronika's would be taken advantage of
by such reprehensible behaviour. And yes,
I agree that ALL cuties should remind
newbies or anyone asking for free designs
of the rules about design sharing. Or
design stealing, perhaps we should call it
what it is. How will anyone know if
they're not told? It's not being
too picky and it's not being unkind.
Perhaps if some of the people now in jails
had been told that stealing was wrong when
they were kids, they wouldn't be where
they are now. I can ignore uninteresting
posts, or ones I don't know an answer
to, or freebies I don't care to hunt
for. But I can't and won't
ignore posts that request or offer to do
something patently illegal. If that's
seen as being 'unkind' to
someone, it's a shame as well as
faulty logic. I would far rather be truly
kind to the Cuties who are obeying the law
and to Veronika who gives us so much by
nipping design stealing in the bud. I am
so grateful to have this Community, and so
grateful to Veronika for her amazing
generosity, I will defend her to the best

here to Cute, it was the love and support
of my Cute family that got me through my
battle with cancer and I am truly grateful
for all the wonderful friends I have made
