They told me they have an exclusive contract with a firm concerning embroidery. That firm sees no market in machine embroidery patterns. BUT they told me they know there are unlicensed patterns available on the Internet and they have their lawyer looking into it. So if any of you have W&P patterns on their website (I could google a site within seconds! so they can do the same) PLEASE remove them! And that includes FREE patterns.
38199 Thanks for the information, Martine! Once again, the licensed designs rear their ugly head. The law is the law, and people are eventually going to be found out and prosecuted. But, I found it interesting that the firm they have a contract with sees no market in machine embroidery! Are they living in a bunker somewhere? People are clamoring for these kinds of designs, that's why the people who do them illegally are making money off of them, and people are going to those sites. Amazing, how thick-headed some of these supposed 'marketers' are. Forgive me, I was in advertising for years, but it never ceases to amaze me. Hugs, Marji

It's originally a Dutch design, book illustrations to start with - the books have bee translated into many different languages - so I can understand many aren't familiar with it.

I was as amazed as you were. They are selling x-stitch packets and I thought they had misunderstood me and said this was about machine embroidery. But their contract seems to be about anything to do with embroidery - too bad - they could generate a lot of money.
