Is that too much different than Embird? I
applied for a job for digitizer and the ad
says that must have knowledge of Wilcom...I
applied anyway, but not holding any
expectation this time, have had too much
disappointment already. Just would be so
nice if I could get this job.
Thanks in advance.
Love,
Yoriko
46438 I don't know much about that programm but you might want to ask Marymoore I know she has used it. Good luck!

53759 I don't have any of the digitizing programs - but I wish you luck.
89874 Hello from France Yoriko, do you remember
me ? Well, if you go on Wilcom site, you
will see that everybody can download a free
very small part of Wilcom called Truesizer.
BUT I think this firm use the professional
Wilcom either ES45 or ES65 (or Studio). You
can have information on the site about what
this software can do. It's a really
complete embroidery software but rather
easy to learn when you already use an other
software. Not a lot of us have it because
it is VERY exwpensive but so complete and
good quality ! I know it and I am sure it
will not be so difficult for you to learn
it. I have your mail. Do you allow me to
send you a mail ? Mine is in my profil.
Hugs

Francoise, it seems really a good software, no wonder is so expensive. I hope I'll have a chance to see one at least. Thank you so much, Francoise...yes I remember you. Love,Yoriko
3250 good luck Yoriko You can do it you are so good at digitizing they would be silly to not give it to you. As the firls said sell yourself ask them to give you a chance it cant hurt.
7577 Yoriko, I agree with Marji. Make a sales pitch selling yourself, make a nice folder with stitch-outs, put your design on a CD and SHOW them how good you are. It's the way you digitize that's important, not the programme - which can't be too difficult to master in a relatively short time. I went from 3D to Embird - it does not take long to get accustomed to a new programme, believe me, it's knowing the ropes of digitising that pulls you through. Success my friend, love, Martine.

My friend, thank you so much! It would be nice if I get an answer from them. Love,Yoriko
38199 Good Luck! You have so much talent, this would be a great job for you!
2678 Cannot answer the question BUT Good Luck. Was just having a quick email check befoe going off on a course. Work related course not sewing
7504 I can only echo Marji's answer, from
the first to the last word. I use
DigitiserPro too. Just hold on in there
and trust in yourself and your
abilities.
Goods luck and may you find what
you're looking for soon.

1063 Yoriko, I haven't used eithor, but will pray for you. Hugs and a ** to all
10660 Yoriko, I know where you can get 100's of glowing references as to your ability. (Starting with ME) Sorry I'm not a digitizer and can't help you, but someone will wake up shortly and be able to answer your question.;)
54357 Yo, I use Janome's Digitizer Pro, which is written by Wilcom. I don't know Embird, but I did not find my Digitizer Pro that difficult to learn, and I started from not knowing anything about digitizing. If you learned Embird by yourself, only using some tutorials, I don't think you would have any trouble with Wilcom, other than getting used to where the icons are, the new digitizing screen, etc. That may take a little bit to learn, but my advice is this: Show them your designs that you've done with Embird. Bring a CD with the design files that they can open in their program, and look at the stitches, pathing, etc. They will see what good work you do! Bring some of your stitch outs with you, also, perhaps send them a link to your website with the application so they can see what you've done. If I were the person hiring, I would far rather hire a good digitizer that I'd have to teach to run my program, than a digitizer that was familiar with my program but might only be a fair digitizer. Ok, I know this is hard, Yo, because you've had a lot of disappointment, but you have to be a salesman, and sell yourself! You are a great digitizer, and I'm NOT saying that to be nice, I'm saying that because it's true. All the Cuties know this as well. I know you're a quiet person, kind of shy, but reach way down and find that courage you had when you started your school. Be confident that you can do this, take all your designs with you, and just tell the people "I'm the best person for this job, and here's my proof." Hold your head up, girl, you have a LOT to be proud of! I wish I could be there to tell them so, but because we can't be with you, you'll have to toot your own horn. Be more forward than you think you should be, don't be shy about your talent, ok? Love you, Marji

Marji, thank you so much for yor beautiful message. I would love to reach them to tell about me. Mostly of ads in Australia, there are only email address and PO box. So they decide from the resume. There are people charging 70-100 dollars to make a resume, so I suppose that is very important, it's your door to jobs here. Maybe my resume is not good enough, maybe I should have someone to make one for me. I did wrote the website address so they can have an idea of the work I have done. Let's see, as I said, I dont want to have expectation...I cried last night when I read the comments on this post, I'm so blessed to have wonderful friends here. Love you too, Yoriko

3250 Dear Yoriko,
Merci beaucoup; the version of Wilcom that
I have, was a free download, but I love it
and can convert easily with it. Will pray
that this job works out for you.

11225 Crossing my fingers that you get the job. You are a very talented digitizer, just show them some of your designs. Get them to ask the Cute's on this site about your designing ability. We all love your designs and would give you a great referral. Good Luck. Hope You get the job. Lynn
10652 I use Wilcom. As well as Tajima they are great for changing formats or colors if need be.
501 I have the Wilcom on my desktop and it is
easy Yoriko. I have never used Embird as
with my Husqvarna there are a few other
programmes I can use. I am sure there will
be someone who is a wonderful digitiser who
can inform you of the differences.
I pray that you will get this job - it
sounds just right down your alley!
Love and blessings Chris
