28124 Unless it is a lightweight shirt, or stretch denim, I don't use a stabilizer. If it is one of the two above, I use cut away. I just hoop it together unless I'm working very near a seam, then I will use a basting stitch.;)

22884 I hoop it without stabiliser, it's usually sturdy enough. I do however sometimes use a wss - the plastic type - on top.
42459 what are you doing?

I was putting some designs on a denim skirt, medium weight. For myself I have almost a closet full of denim. I love denim and I have some more projects that include denim. I remember another cutie helped me last year to master hooping but this year I am failing again...LOL Thanks for your help ;D *2U
96736 I asked this before reading my my answers to my other question. Would the no hooping apply to this one too? TIA ;D

It sure could - but then - you could hoop the denim alone or with a heavy tear away or a WSS - depending on the project.

OMG really!!??? you wouldn't use a stabilizer?? but you would have to hoop the denim ... I wish I had known, because I made a shirt with lots of flip flop designs, but what I hate the most and almost embarrassed about is all the stabilizer patches on the inside ... oh well, I'll have to experiment with this next time as I have several denim shirts to go crazy on. thanks so much
