33237 Thank You very much! These are what I call "dumb tips"! Don't get me wrong, they are things that make you feel dumb because you should already know them and do not. Most are just common sense but are things you really would not think of, such as using two different shades of thread together at the same time in the same needle. I would never have thought of that. I might have used varigated thread but not two strands at once. I must try that and see what kind of effect it has on the design. I copied almost all of them to put in my SEVERAL sewing books that I have compiled over the years. While I am at it, I will tell you the dummest thing I have/have-not done until I installed Smart Sizer Gold and Size Express on my computer not very long ago when I was looking for a free download for a conversion system. Now... I have had this in the drawer for 5 years or more and between the 2 I paid $350.00 for them. I had no idea what they were for but my son told me to get them. He would not install them and I did not know how. I got them out and read the instructions and felt very stupid. I finally got them installed and the 1st designs that I wanted to dowload that was not PES was DST so I changed it to do DST. I had to change the colors. Here is the stupid Part!!!!!!!!!!!! Up until that time and I have had machines for many years, I had no idea that you could change the colors on the computer! I felt like the dummest person in the world! I had been changing my colors when I got to the machine and started sewing. I have not told my son about any of this yet! I do not want him laughing at me! I only found it by accident. Is that stupid or what? I think I need to go and take lessons at my ripe old age. heehee
