August 24, 2009 - Okay quilters, don't laugh at me! :-)
I have found the most amazing new thing to
do! My friend, Sandy, gave me a quilt in a
kit a while ago and I never put it
together... well I decided on Saturday
morning to at least cut the fabric and then
"think about it". Well that
afternoon I decided to start my effort...
OMGosh, I had the thing together in just
under 2 hours! It's a nice size quilt
to cover up on the couch. And man oh man
does it look nice!!!!!!
Sandy bought the kid from Quilter's
Paradise here in town, but I see they have
them at Joann's too. This may be
simple for you quilters, but I'm
mastering my 1/4 inch guide foot and LOVING
this! This week I will probably take it
down to the shop and pay the 30 bucks to
have it quilted and put my binding on this
upcoming weekend. Oh girls, I am sooooo
excited!

cost much more to have professionally

21820 O M Gosh THE QUILTing BUG has struck again....I started with the block a month at Joannes...collected them but NEVER put them together...they were PRE - CUT pieces, so I really didn't have an excuse NOT to piece them together...well My Mom started quilting and so I would give her a set at a time...then she started making them into Queen size so we would search for the extra coordinating fabric and just add BIG borders...I still have several sets...NOT EVEN STARTED!!!
