posting for the freebies and reminders. I don't know much about websites so I can imagine it's a lot work to add such an extra tab. But if it's possible then cuties can deside to open this tab or not.Personly I like to read the freebies but it's a fact there is so much to read in the public section, that other questions or announcements get perhaps less attention. SO WHAT DO YOU THINK?

okay I agree, the free designs and reminders have to be posted under Designs. that's a fact, but it's also a fact that new cuties post under tab or general.So I hope they read this post also and use the wright tab next time. And don't get me wrong it was just a suggestion. I appreciate all the work miss Veronica does already.and like I wrote I don't know much about making a web-site. I'm happy with this one and hope everybody is or will be again!

As other cuties alreay said, this is an expensive solution. When eveyone post under the tag "designs" there is no problem at all and this tag excists already as you probably know. Why would Miss Veronika spend a lot of money to get people to other sites??????

Changing websites is a big and expensive undertaking. For anyone who does not want to read all the postings, there is already a tool in place: click on the word in the popular topics that is closest to what one wants to see or type it into the search box. I hope this reminder will help everyone find the postings they are looking for easily and quickly. Respectfully, Anne

Thanks, Anne. Yes, the tools are in place and created for that purpose. All that is being asked is that the tools be used by everyone. It is a simple request. Some refuse outright to honor the request. It is very frustrating, and is causing great disharmony here. Thanks for your cool-headed comment.

Sound like a good idea but don't want to cause veronica any more time or money. I think we should just all step back and look at this with a clear fresh additude. If you don't like it don't read it!

Gerry, your suggestion is one answer, but there is a problem with it. Asking Veronika to put another tab on the site costs her money. The programming and bandwidth cost her money. I can see no good reason why Veronika should want to spend more of her money to advertise free designs on other sites. Simple suggestions have been made to solve this problem, but people will not follow them. The Personal tab was added at the community's request so that the Public area would not be a place for pictures of grandchildren and prayer requests. That tab is not used by the community except for a few people. There is no reason to assume that another tab would be used either. It would be far cheaper for Veronika to simply close down the community than put up with the cost of it. It takes money in the form of web hosting, bandwidth, programming, and time staffing. If too much time is spent dealing with the squabbles of posters, it will soon become a liability instead of an asset. As Caydebug said, please remember that the OWNER of the site is Veronika Bulatova, not those who post in this community. If you care for this to continue, please pay attention to this. Veronika's patience is not unlimited. Marji

Mops, Please tell me more about this rule. Should I be posting freebies under Bookmarks? As a relative newbie I had not seen this before and have not been doing this. I do tag appropriately, but I also want to be a good citizen of the group and put the links in the agreed-upon place.

super Idea. That way even new folks will see the tab and just maybe this will end all of the squabbling on both sides. I can see both sides of the argument and for one, love the free postings also, But was the intention of this site to be a posting of freebies or for general communitation about not only embroidery related articles but also everyday life so that all of us could get to know each other like a family. This is tearing this community apart and to many people are not evening posting anymore due to these unresolved problems. A new tag would "Hopefully" resolve the issue if every one is willing to follow it. Some have been members of this site from the beginning or close to the beginning and truthfully it is not right for others to come in and change thing from the way it was or what it was intended for.
For the love of Miss Veronica, considering the fact that she is the Momma of this site, All of this needs to stop and either use the given tags as intended or if a new tag can't be done, the maybe those who really want to keep posting freebies can start a new site just for that. We all have to remember that although this is a family site, it is still her baby.
