Hi cuties, as a child I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. One of their maximes: No wasting. This became one of my principles too. So I like all projects, where "old" things are turned

into new. No wonder I like traditional patchwork too.

Here I found a nice idea of how to use old jeans pockets.
Great for a picnic or a country house themed table decoration.

And have a look, it is EMBROIDERED.. ;-))

I like this site. Thanks for posting. There are some things on it like the crafter Carol Duvall had on her TV show ... boy I miss her and her show. (There are some re-runs, but not like seeing her all the time.) She had some VERY TALENTED PEOPLE on that show. I often wonder how she is. She was having some trouble, I think, with her knee or leg. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW SHE IS DOING?? Please share if you do. Thanks again Eva.

Eva as usual you are the 1 to come up with a wonderful site. I also like recycling stuff and spent a lot of time on this 1. Thanks for sharing.

it's funny to use the pocket this way again.but I have to disappoint you, this example wasn't embroidered but the name was painted. But you're wright it would be much more fun if it was embroidered! thanks for sharing.

Those pockets are adorable, but like gerryvb said, they are not embroidered. However, that site has lots of other jean projects, including this one that IS embroidered! So cute! http://ww w.chicaandjo.com/2009/01/0...

Oh, Eva, I end up spend sooooo much time on the computer because of you, hee hee hee. This is a really nice website, all kinds of neat things to do! I found a way to make personalized notepads, and add an embroidered cover, too! Wow. Thanks, Eva, you always come up with unusual stuff. Hugs, Marji

Thank you. That's a very cute idea. I can also see it as a pocket on a placemat made from old jeans.

I save all old jeans. You can do so much with them and they are always in style. Thanks for the post.

Merci; great idea for using up old jeans. The legs of jeans can be made into bags for camping tent poles or into shoe bags for your luggage, also. Although they didn't detatch the pocket from the jeans, it wouldn't be difficult to do and then stick it to the stabilizer and embroider it!

Very cute idea. You wouldn't even need to use old pockets - you could make them yourself in any color or use some of those that are FSL that you see and embroider two and stitch up along the sides for a fancy buffet. *4U
