Hello CUTE family members. I was able to talk an administrator into letting me use their laptop, to tell you "Hello". Thank you to all of you, that allowed me to keep the donation that you so
generously donated on behalf of a laptop for me. Shirlene transferred the funds to a secure account with this nursing center and I can use it for whatever comes up. My plans are to have my hair done each week and I started yesterday. How fun was that, to know that one or more of you helped me to look better for this week, HaHa. 2382 Miss Loretta,I'm sorry I did not get to meet you before you left on your new adventure! I have been there for an 8 month stay and I had nothing! My best friend actually paid my bills until my disability finally started after 3 years! I paid her back but my only son disappeared when I needed him! He only came to see me twice before the checks started. He has paid for it dearly but not by my hand. He did not leave home until he was 37 and we had some really bad times until he finally found a decent person and fell in love and married. She has turned his life around by the grace of the Lord only now she takes all his time. I found myself alone and almost died and had to be in a nursing home for 8 months after surgery, flat on my back! I know how lonely and lost it feels to have to change your whole lifestyle overnight. You take care and enjoy every minute that you can pamper yourself. As long as you can see the light side of all this and make your peace with the Lord you are in store for something very wonderful. The Lord will be there to help you all the way. You sound like such a wonderful person and I would have liked to have met you! You could even teach some craft classes while you are there. I could not get out of bed but if I could have, I would have been at all the craft classes! Linda
5962 Dear loretta, so very good to hear from u. Activities Dept. there where u r should have a computer available & someone to help u send messages whenever u want to. That's is part of the Activities Dept's job, providing activities fot u that u like to do. If they do not have this available, then that would b an excellent suggestion to make to the management, because most Geriactric Facilities do have this available to their residents. Lillian
