Anyone know of a glue that will stick FSL to a wax candle? Or another way to make it stay there! TIA.

I haven't tried it on candles, but when I put embroidery on soap, I put the embroidery on while it is still wet and as it drys it adheres to the soap. After it drys, I then dip the soap side with the embroidery in parafin to seal. Have not had any of it loosen yet. You might try QUICKLY brushing parifin over the design after it is dry. .

Neat ideas, everyone! They probably wouldn't burn down a wedding candle, but just in case, those who put FSL on candles might want to warn people to stop burning them before the candle gets to the FSL. That could cause a little disaster, and ruin the FSL. Hey, never know, that McDonalds lady who spilled hot coffee in her lap not knowing it was hot might just purchase one of your candles, hee hee hee. Also, careful with candles & silk flowers. Friends got a centerpiece complete with candles, and while burning the candles the silks caught on fire. Ended up being Christmas buffet flambe, without meaning to. Luckily they got it out quickly. I just get a little nervous about candles is all, just a little reminder. Have a beautiful day, everyone!! Marji

It is expensive, but you can buy candle glue at your bigger craft stores. It does work, but I am going to try the wax paper, it may go into the candle better. Let us know what you try & how it works

I found that on google - but haven't found anywhere in NZ that stocks it yet.

You have some really good ideas already so my only add will be to the iron method that debleerl gave you. You can put wax paper over the desing and then just use the tip of your normal iron. If you do it right there is no worry on making a mess on your iron.

Thankyou everyone for your ideas. At the moment I have used Helmar fabric glue, and it seems to be holding!! It's way better than the last fabric glue i got, which soaked in and didn't stick. First time I've found helmar brand here. My trial I could peel off, but it held itself on. If it falls off I'm going for the melt it to the candle option! About to post it in projects.

I haven't done it on a candle but when I have put on soap I put clear laquer over it. You can then use the soap and you finish up with just the design left

I've never used it before but I think I remember reading that too... I may be off to spotlight shortly!

You can buy blocks of paraffin n the grocery store(inexpensive) melt a little brush it on & get the FSL on n a hurry cause the wax hardens quickly. *

My next option.. I'm just scared I'll make a right muckup this way :|

I read somewhere to iron waxed paper against the back of the design. Like we used to do with leaves when we were kids. Then, using the iron, gently press the design into the wax. The wax on the back of the design is supposed to help it melt into the candle. This might be a good job for one of those mini irons. I haven't tried it, so let us know how you make out.

I was thinking the mini iron idea might work, kinda melting it into the candle, but I dont have one (yet!) and I don't want to imagine the mess if I try using my normal iron lol

I haven't tried it BUT I was told that if you melt perafin wax (the kind for putting ontop of jelly...you can "paint" it on OR dip the whole candle. I saw it on a video..BUT can't remember where...Sometimers Disease:(
