to do it in Embird.
38202 Hey Matey, sorry I didn't find this
sooner, i was still in hospital when you
posted this.
Now, without wishing to tread on
anyone's toes there is a much easier
way to create image files directly for
Embird:
First open Manager and make sure it is set
up as in PIC 1 (I hope the photo will
enlarge when you click on it so you can see
it better)
Next, locate your design and right click on
it, you don't have to open it. Scroll
down and select "EXPORT" (see PIC
2) this will give you all the export
choices and this is when you can have some
fun. LOL!
Picture 3 shows the result of selecting
Export Image, default settings.
Picture 4 shows the result of selecting
Export Design Snapshot, default settings,
but you must open the design and have it
set to 3D view as it is a Snapshot of what
is in the viewer.
Check out Animated Images and
Screen-savers, I can't help watching
screen-savers of my designs as they stitch
out one after another, it gives me such a
buzz and sometimes I can even pick up where
i can make improvements.
The beauty of doing it from Embird is you
don't have to play around with screen
dumps and Imaging programs, Embird does it
all. Isn't it so much more clever than
you thought???
I hope this is beneficial info for all of
you. Hugs n roses and much love, Meganne
PS, no the design is not one of mine just
one i picked at random.
44628 Martine, sorry I'm late to answer this one. You got a good answer from Marji(Ricky), that is what I do, even when some website has designs with 'no right click' or 'right click disabled', and I want to save the design with the embroidery file with it. Also, thank you so much for the ornament, you have done a great job!!!! Hugs&blessings, Y
46472 Thanks for the advice ladies, I managed! You're both worth your weight in gold! It was so much fun playing with the fillings, I'm now ready to make something more elaborate.
38202 Looks like Marji was the winner on this one
Martine. I've been using
Embird several yrs. & didn't know
the answer to this. *

Ricky taught me, Lillian, no credit to me, I couldn't even find where it printed the screen TO at first!!! M

It's great to be able to learn so much on this site, would have taken me ages to find out by trial and error!
53764 Good morning Martine, from Manager, you shoudl be able to right click and select Export Image... select your file type and you then will have a graphic. As far as uploading, where are you uploading to? I've tried numerous times here on CUTE without success, and Veronika doesn't answer my emails... xoxo

Thanks for the instructions, that's quite simple, I think. Yoriko has uploaded a whole alpha, strange that you can't. I'll try one this evening and let you know.
26946 Oooo, Oooo, I know this one!!! Ricky taught me, I imagine it would work with any software. Just put up the design in 3D mode, or whatever Embird calls what shows the stitches, and hit Print Screen. That will copy the whole screen to your clipboard. Then open Paint, and paste. You can then crop the image & save it to whatever file you like, I save as jpg. On my laptop, Print Screen is hiding as a blue function on the 'insert' key, and I have to press the blue 'fn' key to get it to work. Took me a long time to find that one, hee hee hee. Good luck, Martine!! Love, Marji

Thank you, I'll try that. I found the key on my laptop, next to the Insert key in this case, Prt Sc in yellow, as is the Fn key. Have nobody ever heard of standardizing?! Thanks, Marji, have a nice Christmas.

Thanks, Meg, I have been playing around with the right click menu, had not tried out the animated images or screensaver, but looks great fun indeed. I think I'll have a go at that. In 3D this was an much more elaborate process! I love Embird, the way you can make connection stitches, backward paths, set your fill start and end points, GREAT. Thanks for taking the time to give this info! hnr, Martine.
