You said you checked the wall sockets. Did you plug in something like a hair dryer or light so that you are sure they are working? Also make sure that all of your plugs into the machine are seated correctly. I have a 440 and I can't replicate the problem. You can go to Bernina website and see if you can find something on the FAQ pages. Good luck, Welcome to our site. I'm happy you are here, but sorry you are having problems.

I have tried all of these things, I used my iron to check the plug and I have been to the bernina web site and there's nothing there about this type of problem. So it looks like a quick fix is out of the question LoL. I'm off to the shop to see if they can spot the problem and hopefully fix it today. You all have been so kind and helpfull and I do appreciate your warm welcomes and suggestions! This seems like a fun place!

guess you may have allready done it but have you checked the fuse in the plug sometimes it looks fine but actually isn't. worth a try. also check the wireing as sometimes that can come away from inside the plug. is there a fuse or override on the machine itself. again its worth checking

sand430, Welcome to the CUTE family - I do not have a bernia - but is the card all the way into the location that it goes in - some times - if everything isn't as it should be - machines will not work. Have you tried another socket? Are you sure the cord is all the way in the machine? Walk away - try again. Maybe it will come.

I've tried all of those things and I'm still just stumped. This is the WORST possible time for this to happen. I'll try again first thing in the morning....Thank you though for the 'welcomes' and suggestions.

sand430 can you contact your dealer where you bought your machine from,i am sure they will be able to help you. When i bought my machine,i was very lost,so my darling husband sat with the instruction book and we worked our way though step by step. Hang in there someone here will be able to help you im sure. cheers
