If you put a link in a post, how does Embroidery Top know that it came from Cute? Do you think this is why we're behind? The only link to vote from SiCK is on the website itself, not posted in the forums or anywhere else. I'm pretty computer savvy when in comes to programs, but this internet stuff is a little fuzzy to me. I just wondered if we were somehow shooting ourselves in the foot by posting convenient links. If anyone is more up on these things, I'd sure like to know, thanks!!! Love you all, Marji
22366 i have a question about this vote : what represents the number "OUT" ???
by marjialexa 15 Dec 2008
When you are at Embroidery Top, no matter how you got there, if you go to one of the listed sites through the link, then that counts as an 'out' number for the site you go to. If you go 'in' through Cute, Cute's 'in' number will go up by one. If you then click on the link for SiCK, or any of the other site links, that site's 'out' number will go up by one. Hope this makes sense, Marji

58393 Ok, Rstinson answered the question about how the ET site knows where the vote came from. Thanks so much for your input. Now I know my vote is counting, I really appreciate that. Hugs, Marji
22366 Marji, I don't think it matters how you get to the site. That is the purpose of the "Enter" page. Our vote counts once we are on the site, whatever site we click on is our vote. This is the way I understand the voting anyway.

Yes, it does matter how you get to ET. Whatever link you click on gives an "in" vote for that site. When you click on the link "vote for this site", the link takes you to the "enter this site" page with an address of where you came from, which embroidery site. Entering the ET site gives the vote for the site you entered from. Then clicking on the icon for the same site gives the "out" number. It's going TO the ET site from Cute that gives the "in" vote.
3993 On the white page that says "Enter
this site" for cute the address bar
reads http://www.embroideryt
op.com/top/ra...
and for sick it reads http://www.embroideryto
p.com/top/ra...
So all you have to do is click on the
"enter this site" button and it
registers it to the proper site addy. Hope
this helps.

Yes, very much, thank you, I appreciate your taking the time to figure this out. Marji
1836 I don't understand the counting eather
from the vote site. Me myself I always vote
from the line under the free designs that
says "Vote for this site" and do
what JROB has told in the name of
Veronica:<br />This is from
Veronika,..............................<
br />Thank you for your active
participation in the vote. You can give one
vote within 24 hours. There are the
following steps:
1. go to page any today `s free design
2. click buttom "Click Here to vote
this site"
3. click buttom "Enter This Site
You don`t need to click on the banner
Cuteembroidery. This is an extra:
Don't forget to turn of your
popupblocker before voting and turn it on
again after the voting is done.
33243 I think IF you click on Cute that enters your vote...If ya just enter the top site I don't know if it sounts for anything til ya click a specific site...does tht make sense???
