...eat some turkey! I’ve received
numerous emails asking where I’ve been.
Thank you all. :-) I must say I’m
somewhat terrible and returning emails and
letters promptly… I will make that a New
Year’s resolution (among many) to do
better in 2009.
Good news!!! I got a new Baby Lock
Ellisimo (sewing/embroidery) and Imagine
(serger) and have been incredibly busy! In
fact, digitizing has taken a back row
seat… I never knew that I would love
sewing as much as I do!!!! I am finally
getting around to stitching out all the
stuff I’ve bought over the last 2 years
and making myself some clothes! Imagine
that! This is the girl that HATED home-ec
but loved shop, boys and animals.
Queen Esther and parents are moving up
North January 5th, so I spend a lot of time
with them… going through things in boxes.
Some are fun, some are painful. (GP died
3 years ago), but we’ve all had some good
laughs needless to say. QE’s mind has
really been “out there”… Mom says she
would have to come
“waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay” in to be out
in left field. Sorry to say, that’s a
VERY true statement. I’ve come to terms
that my best-friend isn’t really there
anymore…but still, it’s hard
“accepting” Alzheimer’s and the
lasting effect that disease has on loved
ones.
Anyway, I wanted to wish everyone a blessed
Thanksgiving! This will be the last one
together as a family. GM will not be able
to make any trips down South to unite with
the rest of us… and the aging members
that live here won’t be able to make the
trip North with Jim and me. So…
bitter-sweet will be this holiday for all
of us. DH said that we can have a
Christmas tree this year!!!! I’m so
excited… I think he’s giving in to the
idea because he knows how sad I am about my
family moving. Lol… So I’m going to
work on my lace ornaments to hang and
actually make it a “Hanukkah” bush,
since the two holidays are close this
year.
Hope all is well with everyone. Have a
blessed holiday season! C-ya in virtual
embroidery land. xoxo
