Does anyone use a software to manage your embroidery designs? Thanks to all your help, I have many designs now and have a hard time locating what I want to use. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to try BuzzXexplore but I need an authorization number which I didn't receive by e-mail and haven't been able to get yet.

I use the 4D embroidery system, and I really like it. It is pretty expensive though, but I got it at a discounted rate with my machine.

I like the Sewiconz basic program because it was cheap and it does just what I wanted. It only shows me a picture of what's in each file. Nothing fancy. Works great. Good luck deciding on something. There are a lot of good programs out there. Try to decide what you want it to do before you purchase. Take advantage of trials to see if it is easy for you to use.

If you are only looking for something that shows you a "picture" of what your design looks like, you can purchase SewIConz for $20.00 and you can "see" what you have downloaded. I also have Artista, but it is pricy and does other things. There is a trial version if you want to check it out first.

I'm also looking for the same things. I did buy Deduper to help reduce the number of files by deleting duplicates. It seems to do a good job. I organize designs by category and site, but I'm looking for a program to be able to see the designs without opening the file. The other two I'm considering are Embird Iconizer and SewWhat's SewIconz. Any experiece with either of these as well as BuzzExplore? I've read SewIconz runs by itself as a separate program - I'm not sure if the other two do? And is it best to stay with the same line of programs so they work together? Thanks for any discussion!

One trick that I taught myself is everytime I get an embroidery design either download free or buy, I will also download the embroidery design picture and name them the same name. Of course, the picture will be with either .jpg or .gif extension and embroidery design will b with .pes, .vps or .vip extension. That way the picture file wll always stay next to the embroidery file that I don't need to open any extra embroidery software to view the embroidery design. Hope that will help.

I use buzz explore. with this you can make your own catagories ex. floral, Christmas, alphabets, etc. I really like this program because I can also convert the designs to my machine format with it. Also resize designs. I ordered my copy from sewforless.com. It came with everything you need.

I use Studio Gallery... very easy software to learn. ;-) Not too expensive either. Usually you can pick a copy up off of Ebay.
